Production of seedlings of promising tea variety "Kolkhida" was resumed on the basis of the laboratory.
Tea variety "Kolkhida" was selected as a result of clonal selection by breeders: Mikheil Kolelishvili and Tatiana Mutovkina.
In terms of winter hardiness and morphological features, the variety "Colchis" belongs to the Chinese broadleaf form, and the light green color of its leaves is characteristic of a variety of Indian plants.
This variety is a strong growing type, characterized by abundant shoots and regeneration ability.

"Kolkhida" plantations planted with vegetative seedlings provide 10-12 tons of quality raw materials, and the quality of finished products is not inferior to the products obtained from the mountainous regions of India and Sri Lanka.
Taste and aroma are evaluated with 6.0-6.5 points.
